Sending E-Mail To Kerry
We have several email addresses, which we
check often. Kerry's main one is:
KMKCPA@TaxGuru.org The Bigfoot address is no longer active due to
Bigfoot's terrible service.
Kerry receives several hundred emails each
day; so it's important that you follow some guidelines if your message isn't
going to be lost in the crowd or sent directly to the trash by Kerry's automatic
filters. The most common reason for accidental trashing is when the
subject line is left blank. Please include a descriptive subject or your
message will go straight to cyber-heaven.
When forwarding a message, please clean up
the body of the message and delete the dozens of previous forwarding headers.
Any attempt to accumulate hundreds of forwards for some contest is a hoax (see
below).
Kerry is a voracious reader on the 'net and
subscribes to scores of online newsletters. He is also very aware of the
huge number of hoaxes & scams floating around that are often forwarded by
well-meaning, but gullible newbies. Before passing on such stories, to
Kerry or anyone else, please check it against some of the websites devoted to
debunking hoaxes & scams. Kerry's favorite references for these kinds of
things are:
www.snopes.com
www.scambusters.org
Because of his very remote location, Kerry is
still forced to use a very slow and unreliable dial-up connection to the 'net.
Please keep the size of messages as small possible. File attachments
should be compressed as small as possible. Whenever
possible, a hyperlink to the file is elsewhere on the web is preferable to
attaching the actual file.
More Specifics On Sending Data Files:
The best thing is to save the backup file to
a folder on your hard drive and then attach or upload that one single file. It
definitely doesn't work when the backup is made onto multiple floppies, even
when I copy the files back onto floppies on my end.
