Born & raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kerry
graduated first in his class with a B.S. degree in Accounting and an MBA in
Management Sciences from California State University at Hayward, one of the top
business schools on the Left Coast. Kerry passed the rigorous CPA exam on his
very first try, a feat accomplished by only two to four percent of those taking
the test.
In August 1996, Kerry was awarded the designations of
Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) and Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) by the
Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation. Kerry is one of only 12,000
individuals to earn this recognition out of the more than 900,000 accountants in
the United States.
Since 1975, Kerry has been providing professional
service to a diverse mix of clients. In addition to running his own CPA firm,
Kerry spent five years as Manager of Internal Audit for some large companies,
where he learned more about the real life world of business than is possible in
any other way.
Kerry has a unique ability to decipher the countless
mysteries of taxes & finance in today’s fast changing world and
communicate them in an easy to understand way to assist his clients, readers,
& audiences to accomplish their goals.
In 1993, after 38 years in California, Kerry became
disenchanted with the severe decline in the quality of life there. After
extensive research, Kerry moved his family to the beautiful Northwest Arkansas. Kerry applies his unique abilities to
provide tax, business & financial consulting services to a wide range of
clients all over the country.
Kerry is licensed as a CPA in Arkansas &
California. Other CPAs gave Kerry the nickname “Tax Guru.”
